About

Having studied photography at Nottingham Trent University and embarking on a career in photography focused on a love of botanical subjects, Britt is now established as a renowned professional garden photographer. She has captured gardens all over the country and abroad and her work has been featured in magazines such as House & Garden, Country Life and The English Garden to name a few.  Britt has also contributed to a number of books, including Jinny Blom’s most recent publication ‘What Makes a Garden’, ‘The Gardens of Arne Maynard’ and ‘Garden for the Senses’ by Kendra Wilson.

After relocating to the Cotswolds in 2012, Britt immersed herself in her own garden while pursuing her career as a garden photographer. This led her to explore the texture and form of tulips, igniting her passion for growing and photographing them. She now specialises in capturing Historic Tulips and English Florists’ Tulips, originating from the 17th Century during the Dutch Golden Age. The ‘breaks’ in tulips, caused by the Tulip Breaking Virus, make each flower unique and photographing these fascinating tulips has become her part of her Spring ritual..

More recently Britt has begun to put together a ‘Platinum Print’ collection, working with Max Caffell at 31 Studio. The collection is called ‘Absorbed by the Beauty’ and the prints shown are the first of their kind. The printing process is historic in itself, a ceremony for each print which honours and celebrates this fascinating historic flower. The collection has been thoughtfully framed in a style similar to the Dutch Master Paintings, preserving them as the treasures they once were.

In addition to her deep love for tulips, Britt also captures the serene beauty of protected meadows and woodlands in her photography. All of her creative work is a heartfelt tribute to  nature and the rare, diverse life it supports.
